RAPID CITY, S.D. – The top six teams in Class ‘A’ qualify for the high school soccer playoffs.

So with only three weeks left in the regular season, there’s a few teams currently sitting just outside of the mix including both the Belle Fourche boys and girls soccer teams.

The Broncs had a chance to make up some ground on Saturday as they faced St. Thomas More in a boys and girls doubleheader.

The Belle Fourche boys jumped out a 3-1 lead. But St. Thomas More clawed back and the match ended in 4-4 draw.

St. Thomas More is now 4-3-2 on the season and Belle Fourche is 1-8-1.

The Broncs are sitting in seventh place in the Class ‘A’ standings with four matches remaining.

Girls Soccer

The St. Thomas More girls soccer team squared off against Belle Fourche on Saturday for second time this season.

Despite a great effort by both teams, the Cavaliers tied with the Broncs, 2-2.

The St. Thomas More girls are currently holding on the sixth spot in the Class ‘A’ standings with a record of 3-4-1.

Belle Fourche is seventh at 2-6-2.

The Cavaliers have five matches remaining in the regular season, while the Broncs have three.
